Megabus Announces Four New Cities and More $1 Tickets

Typically we like to announce new and cool airline routes on Fridays, but the possible United/Continental merger seems to be the biggest news this week, and plus we’ve got some Bus Travel routes to announce instead!

Get ready to bus it to these newest destinations from budget bus carrier Megabus when they start on Tuesday: Pittsburgh and State College in Pennsylvania from New York and Des Moines and Iowa City in Iowa from Chicago. They’ve just let the word slip on Twitter, and you know what happens when Megabus rolls up in new cities, right? They love to start the prices at $1!

We just checked up on the routes and indeed they are going for $1, but who knows for how long. This is your Friday evening assignment: make a plan to go somewhere new, and soon. A $1 quick trip from Chicago or New York could be just the weekend you need away from home, even if it is to some less exciting town. At least things will be cheaper there.
