Last week was one filled with the first, hot and chaotic storms of summer. Tropical Storm Alex hit the Gulf of Mexico, tornadoes surprised the Midwest and torrential rains drenched all our purple mountain majesty. Down in Texas, it was lightning that reigned supreme, and the storms literally hit home for @Shan_Ferg:

Having a hard time focusing at work. Still thinking about the fact that the lightning strike blew a hole in our wall & burned carpet. Crazy.
