· Everyone is super excited about Virgin America's fleet-wide WiFi. MV109 made a joke about the signal strength and we all laughed. But FYI, the signal is very good in-flight.

· erdehoff gives us some scoop on the Star Alliance airline loyalty program:

Little-known fact: Star Alliance Gold members (including United elites with Premier Executive status or higher) are entitled to free Red Carpet Club access at the international gateway airport when flying internationally in any cabin (including economy) AND are entitled to two free drink vouchers for the lounge. Not all RCC reception agents are aware of this (especially the free drink thing) -- you may have to get them to look at the rules. Be persistent.
